Ohhh just life...

Well, I have finally had enough of Farrah's baba addiction! As hard as it is to take it away from her I'm doing it, no more excuses! I'm starting by only giving her water in it, which goes along with the fact that she drinks a very large amount of milk during the day :/
The tantrums so far have been livable but she never quits. Unfortunately her breath holding spells have trained her to be a champion crier!
But not only am I just giving her water I am putting a drop of lemon essential oil in her first bottle/cup of the day :) I am also doing the lemon water for Kobe, it is something I would like to teach them to do for life because of its many benefits!

So besides all these little hurtles we are making we have decided to teach the girls about service. Every week The girls are doing a service for someone or something. Luckily we have found many cute ideas on pinterest :) to add to that my girls are starting "The Smile Project" this idea came to me when Farrah's spells and crying fits were at their worst and anything that made her smile I suddenly became very grateful for! So every Sunday the girls will post about something they are smiling for :) I am also considering making a "The Smile Project" Facebook page. So you might also be able to follow them on there! I am so excited to see what my girls young minds are going to share with the world :)

And since I'm obsessed with pictures here's one of my growing fashionista!!

Sleeping Beauty

Farrah continues to be a trouble child with bad luck.
I have always been super careful where medications are left and kept but it seems with using melatonin every night the bottle was left out. Farrah and Kobe were playing under the table while I sat working on something with them at my feet. Well... It wasn't long before Farrah came to me with white powdery looking stuff on her face and figures. So I did a quick search under the table there I found a empty melatonin bottle with its purple lid laying next to it. We estimated she ate about 7, thank goodness the bottle was almost empty and I found three slightly sucked on pills laying on the floor. With a quick call to poison control I was told she will be fine they have had kids her age take up to 75mg and be fine and Farrah only took 21mg. She is currently asleep on the couch I'm betting that we will have some midnight adventures tonight ;)

Here's some pictures of her current state. LOL

My Growing Obsession!

My last post was about Farrah's awesome success using an essential oil called digestzen. But our journey with essential oils doesn't stop there! She has also been using the oil frankincense for 3 months and has not had a breath holding spell the entire time!! With no spells our life has drastically changed and we are working our way into normal activities and milestones.
Also, common colds don't last long in our home. A few drops of breath and onguard and my girls are well on their way back to their normal rambunctious selves :) our experiences with the oils goes on and on! I have never felt so in control and empowered as a mom! I am so grateful for these oils and I hope all parents can learn more about them and start using them for their many benefits!

If you want to know more about the awesome benefits of essential oils go ahead and message me on Facebook or my email is lisacramerpft@hotmail.com I would love to answer any questions you have!

A Big Reason to Smile :)

As a result from some of Farrah's health problems she unfortunately was cursed with severe constipation :( We have just about tried everything to help her and sadly the only thing that was working for her was 60 ML of disgusting heavy laxatives a day. The struggle to get Farrah to take her medicine was horrible, she could taste it in anything, and Would choke on it when it came to forcing her to take it straight. It lead to a lot of frustration and quite a few tears, until..... A close friend suggested I tried this oil called "digestzen" as skeptical as I was, I was willing to try anything to make Farrah feel better.

Guess What?? IT WORKED!!!

A few drops on her tummy and a little rubbed on the bottom of her feet and there it was, our solution!

We went from this...
To this!

Because of this essential oil Farrah went from taking heavy laxatives usually only used by adults not toddlers, to taking 1 pedia-lax gummy (normal dosage is 3) once a day and using this oil twice a day. She claps when she takes her gummy and lays down eagerly to rub the digestzen on her tummy when she sees the oil bottle!
I am so grateful that we found something so great that works for her. The digestzen is all natural and for all ages complete with no kicking and screaming at the sight of a syringe loaded with nasty goo!

Parenting Questionair!

These are the parenting questions from Parenting magazine.
Here I go!

Describe your parenting style in one word. HANDS-ON

Favorite tv family of all time (real or fiction). The WINCHESTERS from Supernatural haha I no its a little dysfunctional but they are my all time favorite!

The phrase you've said more than any other at home is... "put that down!"

What's always in your refrigerator? Water bottles and yogurt.

Craziest thing you've done because you were sleep-deprived. Farrah was crying for a bottle and I got her a bottle laid her back down and she fell asleep but the crying still hadn't stopped I dreamt the hole thing so I had to get up once in my dream and once in reality. It was really confusing!

Behavioral trait you hope your child doesn't inherit from you. I cannot be spontaneous I hate that I can't be, but if I don't have it planned you can plan on me having an anxiety attack.

Fill in the blank "I almost fell over when my child said ... This is how boys pee! (on a stranger packed shuttle returning from Zion's canyon complete with demonstration!)"

Last object you helped your child find. A glove, apparently it's fun to pretend its snowing inside in the middle of spring.

Guilty pleasure. Sneaking a piece of chocolate every time I get woken up at night :) I think that would be considered emotional eating .

Favorite children's movie. Lion King hands down the best movie of all time!!

Best piece of parenting advice you ever got. "Crying has never hurt a child" this was always comforting at those moments where you place your child in their crib and walk away, but it quickly turned to the worst advice I have ever gotten when Farrah decided to have a reflex only 5% of children get that makes her pass out and stop breathing when she cries. Awesome!

If you wrote a parenting manual what would the title be? "I Can't Hear You When You Talk Like That"

Physical trait you hope your child doesn't inherit from you? Thin hair, judging by my girls curly hair they obviously got from their dad I think they're in the clear.

Last meal you made for your family. Cauliflower scrambled eggs and toast, our favorite!

Last thing your child did that made you laugh. Kobe manipulating me and aunt Totty to go play with her friends, hysterical!

Reason you're convinced your child is a genius. Kobe is Kobe.... What other reason is there?

Last parenting decision you regretted. Trusting Farrah with a big girl cup out of the kitchen. Self explanatory.

First word that pops into your head when we say "mom". Food source!

My girls that make every moment worth it :)

Meet Our Little Family

This is our family
I am Lisa, mommy, I stay at home and raise our beautiful girls and I love doing it and am very grateful I have a husband that supports me staying home to do so. My husband Marcus, daddy, works at a cabinet mill during the week and builds forts for little monsters on the weekends. And together we have two beautiful daughters!

Kobe Lynn is three years old turning four in August. This confident girl has so much raw talent she will surprise you with everything she does from sports to singing! If you were to ask someone to sum her up in one word it will most likely always be "FRIENDLY" she loves everyone and makes friends everywhere we go, she is our talented little leader of the future!

Farrah Lee is 17 months old turning two in December. Farrah has a tender heart and a sensitive soul. She is known for her beautiful face and her strength and her happiness. I like to say that god has big plans for her, an inspiration to many! When Farrah was 11 months old she was diagnosed with Pallid Breath Holding Spells, she has an extra reflex that causes her to lose consciousness, stop breathing, and at times have seizures. Very recently we found out she is a ALPHA-1 MZ carrier. It is a genetic chromosome mutation that causes half the alpha-1 protein in her liver not to function correctly. With all of this, Farrah still manages to make everyone smile and laugh at the quirky things she does.

We also have a wonderful Ragdoll kitten named Vance :) he is 4 months old and just started his clicker training. He will soon be a certified therapy cat and do service for children in hospitals. We love him very much along with his many sandpaper kisses :))

Every day will bring new challenges and with those challenges comes light and greater faith that what we do on a daily bases is for a greater cause then ourselves. My girls have opened my eyes to this world and to my greater purpose in life. I am forever grateful for the life and family I have been given :)
